Our services during the Coronavirus Outbreak

We are operating as normal, but by appointment - please call or email before visiting.
We're here for your eyecare during this coronavirus pandemic. However for everyone's safety we are operating by appointment to avoid unnecessary waiting times and to enable easier social distancing. We are committed to providing emergency and essential eyecare in a covid safe environment, so have made operational changes to ensure that close contact is minimised and strict disinfecting and PPE procedures are being adhered to.
We are still here to help so do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns regarding your vision or eye health, or if you are having problems with your glasses or contact lenses.

We respectfully ask you to wear a face covering for your visit (we will provide one if necessary), and sanitise your hands on arrival. Please rearrange your appointment if you or anyone in your household have symptoms of Covid or have recently been in contact with a confirmed case.

If you have concerns about your vision or eye health, please ask for a Minor Eye Conditions appointment - all our optometrists are able to provide assessment and treatment for the following symptoms:
  • Red eye or eyelids
  • Dry, gritty or uncomfortable eyes
  • Eye irritation and inflammation
  • A lot of recent discharge from the eye or watery eye
  • Recently occurring flashes or floaters
  • Painful eye
  • Ingrowing lashes
  • Recent and sudden loss of vision
  • Foreign body in the eye
Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.
We look forward to seeing you again, safely.

We're looking forward to seeing you again

Our top priority is the safety of our customers and our team, so you will see that we have changed the way things are done, in order to take the best care of you.
Always call before you visit
If you arrive without a prior booking, we may not be able to see you. This is to control the number of people on the premises at any one time. We may invite you to a telephone consultation before your appointment to enable us to clearly determine our needs and reduce the amount of time you need to spend in the practice.

When you arrive we will ask you to:
  • Use the hand sanitiser as you enter
  • Answer a few general health questions - to confirm that you have not been in contact with anyone with symptoms
  • Come on your own - we have to keep the number of people in the building to an absolute minimum
  • Wear a mask for the duration of your visit - if you don't have one of your own, we will be happy to provide one
  • Maintain a safe separation from everyone wherever possible
  • Pay with a card

In the consulting room
As part of your check up we will have to be quite close for short periods of time, and we will minimise the risks inherent in this by keeping periods of closer contact to an absolute minimum. We will be using new technology so we won't have to get as close to you as we used to.

When choosing frames
  • We will invite you to sanitise your hands before trying on frames
  • Once you have tried a frame, pass it back to us rather than put it back on display
  • Each frame will be sanitised after it has been tried on before going back on display
  • Please remember to maintain a safe separation when browsing
