Daily disposable, 2 weekly or monthly replacement - we do them all! Daily disposables are considered the healthiest and most hygenic, plus there's no hassle with cleaning solutions. Modern lens materials dry out much less, and have greater oxygen permeability so it's possible to wear lenses all day without impacting on eye health or comfort. Lens design now covers most prescription requirements - whether you have "rugby ball" shaped eyes, or need to be able to see both near and far, there's probably a lens for you. Multifocal video. Did you know it's possible to recycle contact lenses? Keep the pot, the foil lid and the used contact lenses, then bring them into the practice for our special recycling box. The cardboard packaging can go in your normal household recycling. Our Iris VisionCare plan means that all your costs are covered in a single monthly payment. SPECIALIST...
Once the upon a time these were the cutting edge of lens technology - and RGP lenses still have a lot to recommend them, being extremely hard wearing and with great oxygen permeability. Sometimes soft contact lenses aren't able to cope with the demands of eye conditions such as keratoconus or extremely high prescriptions, this is where RGP lenses come into their own. For added comfort, "hybrid" lenses are now available, in which the rigid centre of the lens which gives great vision, is combined with a soft "skirt" around the edge. Except for special circumstances, RGP lenses aren't usually first choice for a contact lens new fit, but many people have been wearing RGP lenses successfully for many years. However because of the decline in popularity there are fewer opticians around with the training and experience to manage RGP contact lenses. We are happy to take on existing RGP wearers for aftercare and replacement lens supply. |
